Skilled Worker Visa
1. Visa 482 (TSS – Temporary Skill Shortage)
- Eligible Applicants: Sponsored by an Australian employer.
- Requirements:
- Occupation listed on the Skilled Occupation List
- IELTS ≥ 5.0 (or equivalent)
- A valid employment contract in Australia
- Pathway: Eligible to transition to Permanent Residency (PR) through Visa 186 after 2–3 years.
2. Visa 186 (Employer Nomination Scheme)
- Eligible Applicants: Australian businesses nominating workers who have already been employed in Australia.
- Requirements: Relevant skills and good English proficiency, along with a nomination letter.
- Benefit: Obtain Australian Permanent Residency (PR).
3. Visa 189 (Skilled Independent)
- Eligible Applicants: Skilled workers with high points under the SkillSelect system.
- Requirements:
- Occupation on the MLTSSL (Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List)
- Minimum score: 65 points (based on age, English proficiency, work experience, and qualifications)
- Benefit: Independent Permanent Residency (PR) without sponsorship.
4. Visa 190 (Skilled Nominated)
- Eligible Applicants: Nominated by an Australian state or territory government.
- Requirements: Meet SkillSelect criteria and hold a state nomination letter.
- Benefit: Permanent Residency (PR) with the commitment to live in the nominating state or territory.
